Carve
Each piece begins with hand-selected wood or bamboo root — chosen for grain, density, and character. Chopsticks are shaped on a lathe to precise taper; cutlery handles are carved to follow the root's natural curves.
Inlay
Depending on the series, artisans embed mother-of-pearl, copper wire, or layers of lacquer. The Iridescence series alone requires 40+ shell fragments per pair, each cut and set by hand.
Finish
A seven-step hand-finishing process brings out natural luster. Chopsticks pass through final inspection before earning the Changdahe stamp. Bamboo cutlery is paired with laser-polished 304 stainless steel — assembled by hand, built to be passed down.
