Materials & Sustainability
We believe the most sustainable product is one you never throw away. Every Crafted Ware piece is designed to last decades — not seasons.
Our Materials
Titanium (99.85% Pure)
Our titanium is the same biocompatible grade used in medical implants. It's lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and completely non-toxic. The vibrant colors on our kettles and cups come from high-temperature crystallization — a natural process that uses heat alone. No chemical sprays, no painted coatings, no dyes.
Hand-Forged Iron
Our iron cookware starts as raw iron and is shaped through thousands of hammer strikes at forging temperature. The result is a dense, naturally non-stick surface that improves with every use. No synthetic coatings like PTFE or ceramic. No factory shortcuts. Just iron, fire, and skill.
Brass
Our brass lampshades are hand-forged from solid brass — a naturally antimicrobial alloy of copper and zinc. Over time, brass develops a living patina that tells the story of its use. It never needs to be replaced, only appreciated.
Lacquered Wood & Sterling Silver
CHANGDAHE's chopsticks are made from sustainably sourced hardwood, finished with natural lacquer (urushi) — a tree sap used in East Asian craft for over 7,000 years. Sterling silver tips are hand-set and can be renewed through CHANGDAHE's restoration service.
What We Don't Use
- No PTFE / Teflon — Our cookware is coating-free
- No PFOA / PFAS — Zero forever chemicals in any product
- No chemical colorants — All colors come from heat treatment or natural materials
- No plastic components — Metal, wood, and natural lacquer only
Built to Last, Not to Replace
The cookware industry encourages replacement every few years. We take a different approach:
- 10-year warranty on all metal products
- Lifetime repair service — re-seasoning, dent repair, surface restoration, silver tip renewal
- Heirloom design — every piece is made to be passed down, not thrown out
A well-maintained iron pan lasts generations. A titanium kettle will outlive its owner. This is the most honest form of sustainability — making things that don't need to be made again.
Our Makers
We work directly with three workshops in China, each with deep roots in their craft. There are no middlemen, no mass-production facilities, and no anonymous factories. Every maker is named, every workshop is visited, and every piece is traceable to the hands that made it.
Packaging
All products ship in recyclable cardboard with protective paper padding. We avoid plastic foam, shrink wrap, and single-use plastics wherever possible. Our packaging is designed to be gift-ready — so there's no need for additional wrapping.
